2nd Grade Blast Off-SUMMER, $210, 50 minutes each week 2024

This 8-week class will meet once a week on Wednesdays for 8 weeks on the same day/time each week. For example, a class could meet on Wednesday from June 5- July 24 from 2:00-2:50 pm each week (see above for the correct designated time).  There will be 8 classes in total.  Please register for the grade your child will attend in the fall of 2024.  Instead of the summer slide, your students will SOAR into the next grade.  They will work on phonics, word families, reading fluency, comprehension, math facts, guided reading, math problem-solving, and grade-level TEKS learning objectives. All students will bring home leveled readers and quick homework activities to accelerate learning. This is a program, not just a once-a-week tutoring session. Students will receive a homework calendar to keep them working and materials to help support them working at home to help students grow and learn at a quicker rate than once-a-week tutoring. Many of our students from last summer who worked the program gained SIX reading levels while their peers did the summer slide and regressed. The kids enjoy the classes, the teachers love what they're doing, and it really helps to set your child up for success in the following school year! We LOVE hearing feedback from parents sharing how well their child did during the following year and how the progress they made over the summer really set them up for success for the school year!

Class size is kept small and on average is around 4 students. The cost of the class is for all of June and July--8 weeks total.  There will not be any additional fees due.    Total cost includes payment for the class, materials fee, facility rental fee, and registration. We are an LLC, have filings with the state, and carry insurance.  The payment is due upon registration.  Since we secure staff, rent classroom space, and prepare materials based on the number of students registered, no refunds will be given to students who drop the class.  You are welcome to see if you can find a replacement to take your child's place and you can collect the payment for the sessions.   Make-up sessions are not offered for missed sessions. The teacher will provide make-up work, but we cannot reschedule summer sessions or make-up sessions due to classroom availability and other teaching commitments.
