This 8 week class will meet once a week on Tuesdays for 8 weeks at the same day/time each week. This unique class was created to help ease some of the stress that comes with entering kindergarten. This class will not only boost your child's academic skills, but also their self confidence and eagerness to learn. Our curriculum was created to help students MASTER kindergarten readiness skills. Students will enjoy fun, short learning activities along with circle time, calendar time, and being exposed to routines that are followed in kindergarten. This special class is taught by a certified, experienced, elementary school teacher and is 50 minutes long and PACKED with varied learning experiences. Activities will vary with seatwork, circle time, and more. Teaching techniques will engage the auditory, kinesthetic, and visual learners along with fun, interactive strategies that keep children moving and engaged. Students will receive an at home calendar with activities to keep the learning going on at home. Students in our kindergarten class will also take home a different at home learning box each week. These are short activities that help create hands on learning experiences that review phonics, letters, math, patterns, and more. They'll then go to the prize box each week for completing their work. The kids enjoy the classes, the teachers love what they're doing, and it really helps to set your child up for success for the following school year! We LOVE hearing back from parents that our students ROCKED at kindergarten and how the progress they made over the summer really set them up for success for the school year! The kindergarten readiness class is $15 more than the other Blast Off classes due to the amount of materials provided for the class--including taking home a different at home learning box each week.
Class size is kept small and will be around a dozen students. The cost of the class is $265 for all of June and July--8 weeks total . Total cost includes payment for the class, materials fee, facility rental fee, and registration. We are a LLC, have filings with the state, and carry insurance. The payment is due upon registration. Since we secure staff, rent classroom space, and prepare materials based on the amount of students registered, no refunds will be given for students who drop the class. You are welcome to see if you can find a replacement to take your child's place and you can collect the payment for the sessions. Make-up sessions are not offered for missed sessions. The teacher might provide make-up work, but we will not be able to reschedule summer sessions due to classroom availability and other teaching commitments. Encompass Academics will monitor the safety guidelines set out by the governor and will follow thorough health and safety guidelines which include disinfecting between classes, liberal use of hand sanitizer, adherence to a strict no sick policy, and keeping class size small to prohbit children from being exposed to larger groups.
