About the event

This class meets once a week on Tuesdays for 8 weeks at the same day/time each week.  This 8 week course was put together by a college professor to help our students learn new strategies and skills in order to maximize your child's full potential when taking the SAT/ACT.  Students will become familiar with the test format, thus reducing test anxiety and improving overall performance. The teacher for this class has both her bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as, extensive collegiate level training to become a writing tutor for college writing centers. She's designed this course which utilizes key techniques, including the Princeton Review, to help students reach their maximum potential on college entrance exams. There will be a separate math SAT teacher, as well. He has extensive teaching experience, has taught SAT/ACT classses for years, and is excited to bring his talend to the students in Friendswood.

This class will meet once a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes.  Class size is kept small. The cost of the class is $350 for all of June and July--8 weeks total.  We will need to reach a minimum amount of students for the class to make, so please tell your friends about it. Total cost includes payment for the class, materials fee, facility rental fee, and registration. Parents will need to purchase the Princeton Review SAT prepbook for their child. A link will be sent with the appropriate version. The book will have have key strategies for the math and language tests. Our teachers have been trained on the Princeton Review and have years of experience tutoring students with the Princeton Review strategies. We are a LLC, have filings with the state, and carry insurance.   The payment is due upon registration.  Since we secure staff, rent classroom space, and prepare materials based on the amount of students registered, no refunds will be given for students who drop the class.  You are welcome to see if you can find a replacement to take your child's place and you can collect the payment for the sessions.  Make-up sessions are not offered for missed sessions. The teacher might provide make-up work, but we will not be able to reschedule summer sessions due to classroom availability and other teaching commitments. If for some reason the class does not make, a prompt refund will be issued later in May. We could also discuss private tutoring options at that point, as well.
